Dems boycott netanyahu

Vice President Joe Biden and other prominent Democrats may skip Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's upcoming speech to Congress.
According to Politico, Biden has made no public statement on the subject, but in all likelihood will not attend. At the same time, "Dozens of House Democrats are privately threatening to skip the March 3 address."
This may include several Jewish Democrats. Politico quotes Steve Cohen of Tennesee saying,
I just don’t know if it's the proper response or not. ... But I just think [the speech is] a mistake and it might be a proper protest. But I haven’t made that definite decision. ... With [Netanyahu's] election being so soon, and with the negotiations we have going on with Iran, he’s put himself in a political situation here that’s probably adverse to the best interest of Israel.
Cohen's ambivalent statement seems to indicate that he may well wish to attend, but is afraid of retaliation if he does so. There is no doubt that considerable pressure on members of Congress must be coming from the White House.
In addition, the far-Left, Netanyahu-hating lobby group JStreet - which bills itself as pro-Israel - seems to be playing the court Jew for Obama.
The organization is sending mass emails to supporters asking them to write their congressmen and "make it clear that Netanyahu's speech shouldn't go forward as planned."
